I am quiet impressed with the Stone Sand project, which uses soil/sand as the base material and a liquid binder to solidify the soil granules it then uses a jet spray system to deposit the mix of soil and binder, to construct architectural shapes. The process is similar a female wasp making her nest in clay (mud dauber type of wasp).
Anyway check them out here
Serval Cat Skull - screen grab of raw mesh (left) and textured photogrammetry data (right).
Finally - I have started converting/processing some of my photogrammetry data shoots from my June trip to South Africa and Zimbabwe, they are going to form the basis of another series of sculptures and drawing continuing my exploration and adaptation of bones. The series of pieces will re-address some of my childhood memories of my life there.
Occasional updates from me.
