A quick render from in ZBrush - I have updated the Veil, reworked the body with musculature detail and now there is no skull under the cloth.
The sculpt should be finished by tonight and up on Shapeways - I just have to do the technical part to get ready for print now.
The piece Cerval woman as evolved into "Veil", starting to feel more comfortable with the piece. I have pushed the pose more and I am working on the concept of hiding the skull under drapery. My intention is then print the piece in two materials, then re-assemble for the final sculpture. The draped cloth is still early work in progress, and I plan one adding more musculature in the figure - though I need to finish this piece before the 1st of February - it has been sitting on the shelf and needs to get into reality.
The print for King and Crown has arrived from Shapeways, my first new work for 2014, pretty pleased with the results - So this morning at about 5:30 AM I took some photos of it down by the river, the light was a little low and I will be taking more to show the semi - opaque quality of the piece - its size in cm is 12.472 w x 12.514 d x 18 h.
Once I have some more neutral studio - like photographs of this piece it will be up for sale on my Shapeways shop.
Well I finally wrapped up my little mummies for their trip to L.A., I was invited by Bob Titsch to show my work at the the 3D Printer World Expo, he had seen my work at 3DCAMP Houston in 2012.
So, Janus, Unseen brothers and Undine all get to go on a road trip to L.A. to be part of the 3D Printer World Expo showcase. For Janus it will be his first trip abroad (asides from his initial conversion into the physical - i.e. print/birth in the Netherlands).
I am pleased to be associated with the artist line up for the show - would love to meet them in person.
And I was included in an article on the 3D printer world website.
Safe travels to my works, hopefully I can accompany you next year, as this year one will definitely be seeing more works from me.
CrownedKing_0.02 is now finished and up on the Shapeways site - I will put together some more renders of it tomorrow night. If you would like to see it in the Shapeways 3D viewer have look at my shop : [L I N K]
